Eliza Brilliant

Eliza found her way to pilates as a young girl through her mother, who owned a classical studio in her hometown on Long Island. Eliza would sit in the studio and observe as her mother trained clients, entranced by the attention to detail. Eliza found her own pilates practice a bit later in life, after she graduated with a BFA in Philosophy from Colorado College. She fell in love with how it transformed her own body and gave her a sense of ease and courage.

Outside the studio, Eliza has a passion for film, literature, running, skiing, and hiking, and has attended graduate degree programs in both writing and philosophy. All of her various interests inform her pilates teaching style, as she likes to think poetically in the way the muscles connect within the body. She loves to connect with clients and bring the method to people who have never practiced before, and finds so much joy in watching clients fire up their muscles and learn new ways to connect with their minds and bodies.
