Alicia Weinstein is an experienced massage practitioner who combines a deep understanding of the neuromuscular system with compassionate presence and a holistic approach. She treats from a collaborative perspective, working with you and your nervous system to create an experience that fosters long term change. Alicia began her bodywork journey with an immersion in Esalen massage more than 10 years ago.
She then continued on to study in Shiatsu and Acupressure while pursuing her bachelor's degree in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology at Washington University in St. Louis, where she also took courses in somatic practices and dance. After moving to New York, she became certified in Active Isolated Stretching, which allowed her to gain years of hands-on experience while she earned her Associate’s in Massage Therapy at Pacific College of Health and Science.
She completed her clinical internship at Womankind NYC, working with survivors of domestic and sexual violence to offer trauma-informed touch therapy. Since becoming fully licensed, she has pursued additional education in prenatal and postpartum massage, myofascial release, trauma informed care, and the neuroscience of pain, posture, and bodywork.
